Calendar Sync & Third-Party Services
Lich Viet offers integration with external calendar services. When you enable these integrations:
Apple Calendar
When syncing with Apple Calendar, we access your calendar data through Apple's EventKit framework. This data remains on your device and syncs through Apple's iCloud infrastructure according to Apple's privacy policies.
Google Calendar
If you connect Google Calendar, we use Google's Calendar API to read and write calendar events. We access only the calendars you explicitly authorize. Google's privacy policy governs how Google handles your data.
Microsoft Outlook Calendar
Microsoft Calendar integration uses Microsoft Graph API. We access only authorized calendar data. Microsoft's privacy policy applies to data processed by Microsoft.
ICS Calendar Feeds
ICS feeds are read-only subscriptions. We fetch and parse calendar data from URLs you provide but do not modify the source calendars.
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the app's calendar and task management features
- Sync your events across connected calendar services
- Calculate and display Vietnamese lunar calendar dates and astrological information
- Send notifications and reminders you configure
- Improve app performance and fix bugs

Data Storage & Security
Your calendar and task data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Data synchronized with third-party calendar services is transmitted securely using HTTPS encryption.
