By downloading, installing, or using the Lich Viet mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
2. Description of Service
Lich Viet is a Vietnamese lunar calendar application that provides:
- Vietnamese lunar calendar display with solar/lunar date conversion
- Traditional Vietnamese astrology information (12 Truc, Hoang Dao hours, star calculations)
- Event and task management with lunar-based recurrence
- Calendar synchronization with Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, and ICS feeds
- Bilingual support (Vietnamese and English)
3. User Responsibilities
As a user of Lich Viet, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when connecting third-party calendar services
- Use the App only for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Not use the App to transmit any harmful code or malware
- Maintain the security of your device and connected accounts
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
4. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of Lich Viet, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, are the exclusive property of Lich Viet and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
The Vietnamese astrology calculations are based on traditional sources and are provided for informational and entertainment purposes.
5. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party calendar services (Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Apple Calendar). Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third-party terms of service and privacy policies:

6. Astrology Disclaimer
The Vietnamese astrology features in Lich Viet, including day quality assessments, auspicious hours, and star calculations, are provided for cultural and entertainment purposes only. These features:
- Are based on traditional Vietnamese almanac calculations
- Should not be used as the sole basis for making important life decisions
- Do not constitute professional advice of any kind
- May vary from other sources due to different calculation methods
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- ACCURACY OF CALENDAR CALCULATIONS
- UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE SERVICE
We do not guarantee that the App will meet your requirements or that any errors will be corrected.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LICH VIET SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of data or calendar events
- Loss of profits or business opportunities
- Damages arising from calendar sync failures
- Damages arising from reliance on astrology information
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App, if any.
9. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms.
Upon termination, your locally stored data will be deleted with the App. Data synced to third-party calendar services will remain in those services according to their policies.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
